Capturing a great picture of birds often requires a very quick trigger finger.
Some of my great opportunities for capturing bird photos was bird watching in the mangrove swamps off Stone Island near Mazatlan, Mexico in 2019.
Another was in 2024 when I visited South America and especially Tierra Del Fuego where I saw a large variety of unusual birds including "aquatic flightless birds" known as penguins.

This same couple of seagulls have returned to the roof next door to us to breed for, probably, eight years.
We have named them Jonathan and Matilda.
The sad thing is that their brood of chicks seldom survive due to hawks and eagles in the area.
